Showcase opens December 19

My photograph, "The forest of the mind," is included in Showcase, an exhibition that will run from December 19, 2012 through January 11, 2013, at RayKo Gallery, 428 Third Street, San Francisco, CA, 94107.

200 Yards @ Sweet Adeline

I'm delighted and honored to announce that two of my photographs will be included in a 200 Yards exhibition of 15 photographs at the Sweet Adeline Bakeshop, 3350 Adeline St. @ 63rd, Berkeley, CA, 510-985-7381. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and the show will run for about a month.


200 Yards is a series of exhibits consisting of photographs made within a 200-yard radius of the show's venue. It will be fascinating to see the different artists' perspectives on the 200 yards surrounding Sweet Adeline!

Toyed With 2012

I'm honored and delighted to announce that my photograph, "Dissolving moment," is included in Toyed With, an exhibition of plastic camera photography.


Toyed With runs from August 3 through September 3, 2012, at the Open Shutter Gallery, 735 Main Avenue, Durango, Colorado 81301, 970-382-835. If you're in the area, I hope you'll visit. As you can see from the online Toyed With gallery, it's going to be a stunning show!

The photographs in Toyed With were selected by juror Christine So, who is Curator and Public Relations Manager of Holga Inspire, a fine art and film photography initiative co-founded by Mr. T.M. Lee, the inventor of the Holga camera.

Among Trees

I'm extremely pleased to announce that my photograph, "Reaching for the light," is included in the exhibition, Among Trees.


Among Trees runs from August 2 through August 26, 2012 at the Darkroom Gallery, 12 Main St., Essex Jct., VT 05452-3132, 802-777-FOTO (3686).

Time in a Can

I've recently had the pleasure of participating Time in a Can, an international photographic project involving a solargraphic technique. A solargraph is a photograph made by leaving a pinhole camera where it can record the apparent motion of the sun in the sky over a certain period of time. For the Time in a Can project, artists on five continents made six-month exposures from the summer solstice through the winter solstice of 2011.

Curious Camera

I'm delighted and proud that my photo, Somewhere in another world, has received an honorable mention in the 4th Annual Curious Camera competition! The exhibition at ArtsEye Gallery in Tucson, AZ, opens Saturday, April 28, with a reception from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., and runs through July 31. It looks as if it's going to be a fantastic show!
