Mobile Magic XV

I'm excited and honored that my image, "This is the journey," is included in the Mobile Magic XV exhibition at LightBox Photographic Gallery. The gallery is located at 1045 Marine Drive, Astoria, Oregon, and can be reached by phone at 503-468-0238. The show opened on December 13, and runs through January 10, 2015.

Holga Out of the Box

I'm honored and delighted that my photograph, "Crossing the distance," is included in this year's Holga Out of the Box exhibition at TCC Photo Gallery, 207 N. Center St., Longview, TX 75601, 903-236-4686. 

The exhibition opens on Thursday, October 2 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with Art Walk, and closes on November 14. If you're in the area, I encourage you to visit! You can preview the gallery show here, and the additional online show here.


The juror for the exhibition was photographer David Burnett, who has won virtually every award in magazine photojournalism, including a top prize at the 2001 White House News Photographers' Association's Eyes of History contest for his Holga photograph of Al Gore.

Celebrating the City Through Art

As part of the city of Walnut Creek, California's centennial celebration, the Bedford Gallery is hosting an exhibition of art reflecting the city's history, land, commerce, community, and culture. My photograph, "At the top of the hill," is included.

Walnut Creek Turns 100: Celebrating the City Through Art runs from September 21 through November 16. The Bedford Gallery is located at 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, and can be reached by phone at 925-295-1417.

Somerville Toy Camera Festival

I'm delighted and honored that my photograph, "Crossing the distance," is included in the second Somerville Toy Camera Festival! It will be shown at the Washington Street Art Center, 321 Washington Street, Somerville, MA  02143, from June 7 through 28. Gallery hours are Saturdays from noon to 4:00 p.m. There will be an opening reception next Saturday, June 7, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The jurors for the exhibitions were Somerville-based fine art photographers Meg Birnbaum and Lee Kilpatrick.

The Somerville Toy Camera Festival includes five different exhibitions of toy camera photography during the month of June; a toy camera workshop, artist talk, and book signing by Holga Queen Michelle Bates; and a panel discussion on working with toy cameras that includes juror Meg Birnbaum and the amazing artist Jim Rohan.

Writing With Light at the Pacific Art League

I'm very pleased that a silver gelatin print of my untitled photograph (from my series, Before there were words) will be included in the exhibition, "Writing With Light," at the Pacific Art League.

Home at Dickerman Prints

RayKo 7th Annual International Juried Plastic Camera Show

I'm thrilled and proud that my photograph, "Crossing the distance," will be included in the 7th Annual International Juried Plastic Camera Show at RayKo Photo Center!
The juror was Ann Jastrab, M.F.A., who is a fine art photographer, master printer, teacher, and Gallery Director at RayKo.

RayKo is located at 428 Third Street, San Francisco, California, and can be reached by phone at 415-495-3773. The exhibition runs from Wednesday, March 5 through Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Obscura Book release and exhibition in Berlin


 The collaborative pinhole photography book, Obscura: 121 Views is scheduled for release on January 31! An exhibition of photographs from the book - including one of mine - will take place at Galerie Pflüger68 in Berlin, Germany, from January 31 through February 11. An opening is scheduled for January 31, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. If you're in that part of the world, I hope you'll go!
